Guidance of the Prophet PBUH in treating youth

وللقرب فائدة نفسيَّة يستغلها النبي في توصيل المعاني العظيمة المباشرة للفتى الذكي؛ فيستوعبها وينقلها لنا, ووالله فإنه أفاد الأمة بدرر تحتاج لمجلدات لشرحها؛ عن حنش الصنعاني عن عبد الله بن عباس أنه حدثه أنه ركب خلف رسول الله يومًا، فقال له رسول الله: "يَا غُلاَمُ، إِنِّي أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ احْفَظِ اللَّهَ يَحْفَظْكَ, احْفَظِ اللَّهَ تَجِدْهُ تُجَاهَكَ, إِذَا سَأَلْتَ فَاسْأَلِ اللَّهَ، وَإِذَا اسْتَعَنْتَ فَاسْتَعِنْ بِاللَّهِ, وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ الأُمَّةَ لَوِ اجْتَمَعَتْ عَلَى أَنْ يَنْفَعُوكَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يَنْفَعُوكَ إِلاَّ بِشَيْءٍ قَدْ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ لَكَ, وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى أَنْ يَضُرُّوكَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يَضُرُّوكَ إِلاَّ بِشَيْءٍ قَدْ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ. رُفِعَتِ الأَقْلاَمُ، وَجَفَّتِ الصُّحُفُ"[1].

Relations between members of Ummah have good benefits exploited by the Prophet PBUH in conducting higher direct means to the genious guy then accommodates and translates it to us, swearing God, it is useful for Ummah as pearls which need folders to explain. Hanash el-Sanaani said that Abdullah ibn Abbas was behind the Messenger of Allah on a camel once and the Messenger of Allah said to him, Oh boy, let you know the words, keep your Lord; your Lord will keep you, keep your Lord; you'll find him near you, if you ask for something ask Allah, your Lord, if you need a support, ask Allah's support, and keep in your mind that when all of people gather to benefit you; they won't except by a thing that Allah; your Lord had wanted you to have, and if the people gather to hurt you; they won't; except by a thing that Allah your Lord had wanted to hurt you with. Pencils will not write more a thing in papers.  

فيوجهه هنا بشكل مباشر ويلفت نظره لما سيذكره بقوله: "أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ", ثم يشرع في التوجيه بعد التحفيز.

He directed him and drew his attention of what he will say by saying: "let me teach you words," and then proceeded in direction after stimulation.

وبمثل هذا كان موقفه مع معاذ بن جبل رضي الله عنه؛ فعنه أن النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام قال له: "يَا مُعَاذُ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكَ, وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكَ" فَقَالَ: "أُوصِيكَ يَا مُعَاذُ لاَ تَدَعَنَّ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاَةٍ تَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ"[2]. فسبحان الله العظيم يبدأ بتليين قلبه, ولفت نظره بقوله: "إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكَ"! وفي هذا تحفيز للعاطفة؛ فما بالك بفتى يخبره رسول الله أنه يحبه -فداه أبي وأمي-, ثم يشرع بعدها في التوجيه الذي تستقبله نفس شغوفة بتعرف ما يهديه إليها حبيبها.

Likewise, the messenger of Allah in his situation with Mu'adh ibn Jabal peace is upon him; who related that the Prophet PBUH said to him: O, Mu'adh. By Allah I love you, by Allah I love you so, do not miss at the end of every Salah to say: O, Allah support me to remember You; thank You; and worshipYou nicely. The Prophet begins with softening his heart; drew his attention by saying; I love you!  Stimulating his emotion. Then what you say about a boy that the Messenger of Allah told him that he loves him-I ransomed the Prophet  with my father and my mother; then begins to direct the boy; who welcomed his advice with an interested soul to something that his lover direct him to    

دعونا نذكر مواقف أخرى -غير المذكورة آنفًا- فيها الجمع بين التوجيه ومراعاة الحاجات النفسية للشباب؛ فعن مالك بن الحويرث -رضي الله عنه- قال: أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَنَحْنُ شَبَبَةٌ مُتَقَارِبُونَ, فَأَقَمْنَا عِنْدَهُ عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً, وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ رَحِيمًا رَقِيقًا؛ فَظَنَّ أَنَّا قَدْ اشْتَقْنَا أَهْلَنَا, فَسَأَلَنَا عَنْ مَنْ تَرَكْنَا مِنْ أَهْلِنَا؟ فَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ. فَقَالَ: "ارْجِعُوا إلى أَهْلِيكُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا فِيهِمْ وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ وَمُرُوهُمْ، فَإِذَا حَضَرَتْ الصَّلاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ"[3].

 Us mention other situations-other than these previously mentioned- gathering between directing and caring about youth's needs; Malik ibn al-Huaireth-peace be upon him- related that we came to the Messenger of Allah ; we at that time were young; and we stayed with him twenty nights, the Messenger of Allah was kind and delicate; he thought that we missed our families; He asked whom we miss of our families then we answered him, then he said: return to your families and stayed between them; learn them; order them, if Salah is must; then someone of you must make Adhan then the elder pray as an Imam to you

وقلْ مثل ذلك في تقديره لمواهب زيد بن ثابت رضي الله عنه, وإسناده مهمة في غاية الأهمية بالنسبة لأي حاكم, وهي: أن يترجم له ويفحص ما يكتب عنه فيما بينه وبين اليهود. وكما نعلم أن مثل هذه المهمة خطيرة بسبب ما كان بين المسلمين واليهود من حساسية في ذلك الوقت, وهذا ما حدث به زيد عن نفسه؛ فعَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ زَيْدًا أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ الْمَدِينَةَ, قَالَ زَيْدٌ: ذُهِبَ بِي إلى النَّبِيِّ فَأُعْجِبَ بِي. فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَذَا غُلامٌ مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ مَعَهُ مِمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ بِضْعَ عَشْرَةَ سُورَةً. فَأَعْجَبَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ وَقَالَ: "يَا زَيْدُ تَعَلَّمْ لِي كِتَابَ يَهُودَ، فَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا آمَنُ يَهُودَ عَلَى كِتَابِي". قَالَ زَيْدٌ: فَتَعَلَّمْتُ كِتَابَهُمْ مَا مَرَّتْ بِي خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى حَذَقْتُهُ, وَكُنْتُ أَقْرَأُ لَهُ كُتُبَهُمْ إِذَا كَتَبُوا إِلَيْهِ, وَأُجِيبُ عَنْهُ إِذَا كَتَبَ[4].

And say likewise in his assessement for hoppies of Zaid ibn Thabit peace be upon him when the Messenger of Allah assigned him a very important mission for a leader like the messenger of Allah, to translate and examine writings which be written between him and the Jews. As we know how important this mission is at that time and that what Zaid himself said, so Khareja related about Zaid's father who told him that when the Prophet Muhammad came to Madinah, Zaid said: My father went with me to the Prophet and the Prophet interested about me. The companions said; O, Messenger of Allah, this boy from Banu el-Naggar memorised some Surahs which revealed upon you. This was made the Prophet liked me then said: O, Zaid, learn the book of the Jews. By Allah I couldn't honest the Jews about my book. Zaid said: I learnt their book in fifteen days and excelled in it and I used to read their books when they wrote to the Prophet and answered for him about.  

فالشباب بحاجة إلى تقدير وإلى إعادة اكتشاف

وفي رواية أخرى: نلحظ أن النبي يُراعي الشباب لا سيما في أمر شهوتهم؛ ففي الحديث عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَفَلْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ مِنْ غَزْوَةٍ فَتَعَجَّلْتُ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لِي قَطُوفٍ -أي بطيء- فَلَحِقَنِي رَاكِبٌ مِنْ خَلْفِي فَنَخَسَ بَعِيرِي بِعَنَزَةٍ كَانَتْ مَعَهُ، فَانْطَلَقَ بَعِيرِي كَأَجْوَدِ مَا أَنْتَ رَاءٍ مِنْ الإِبِلِ؛ فَإِذَا النَّبِيُّ --أي هو الراكب الذي نخس البعير وكانت بطيئة فأسرعت وهذا من معجزاته- فَقَالَ: "مَا يُعْجِلُكَ؟" قُلْتُ: كُنْتُ حَدِيثَ عَهْدٍ بِعُرُسٍ. قَالَ: "أَبِكْرًا أَمْ ثَيِّبًا؟" قُلْتُ: ثَيِّبًا. قَالَ: "فَهَلا جَارِيَةً تُلاعِبُهَا وَتُلاعِبُكَ". قَالَ: فَلَمَّا ذَهَبْنَا لِنَدْخُلَ, قَالَ: "أَمْهِلُوا حَتَّى تَدْخُلُوا لَيْلاً -أَيْ عِشَاءً- لِكَيْ تَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ وَتَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ"[5].

Youth need assessement and re-explore:

In another narration: We notice that the Prophet took care about youth especially their desires. Jaber ibn Abdillah related that we returned with the Prophet from a battle then I hurried on a slow camel then a rider came after me and hit mine with his stick then my camel speed up as I never sew before, the Prophet then was the rider who did this, then it became more faster and this was from his miracles, then he said: Why are you speed up? I said: I am a new groom, He asked: Was she a virgin or married before? I said: she was married before me. He said: I wish you marry a young to play with each other. When we intered Madina, the Prophet said (to his men): Slow down till the night came and your women took their time to beautify themselves to look nice.  

بل إنه كان -عليه الصلاة والسلام- يأذن للشباب؛ ليذهبوا إلى بيوتهم في أثناء غزوة الخندق لا سيما من كان حديث عهد بعرس، فيقول أبو سعيد -رضي الله عنه- محدثًا عن شاب كان معهم في الغزوة, فكان ذلك الفتى يستأذن رسول الله بأنصاف النهار فيرجع إلى أهله, فاستأذنه يومًا فقال: "خُذْ عَلَيْكَ سِلاحَكَ؛ فَإِنِّي أَخْشَى عَلَيْكَ قُرَيْظَةَ"[6].

Also, the Prophet used to permit the young to went to their families even during the" Trench battle" especially grooms, Abu Saed peace be upon him related that a young man was with them in the battle, he used to ask for a permission, in the middle of the day, to return to his bride. Once, he asked for a return and the Prophet permitted him and said: Take your sword, because I worry about you from Banu Quraidha(may attack him through his way home).

عن أبي أمامة -رضي الله عنه- قال: إِنَّ فَتًى شَابًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ, ائْذَنْ لِي بِالزِّنَا. فَأَقْبَلَ الْقَوْمُ عَلَيْهِ فَزَجَرُوهُ وَقَالُوا: مَهْ مَهْ. فَقَالَ: "ادْنُهْ". فَدَنَا مِنْهُ قَرِيبًا، قَالَ: فَجَلَسَ، قَالَ: "أَتُحِبُّهُ لأُمِّكَ؟" قَالَ: لا. وَاللهِ جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاءَكَ. قَالَ: "وَلا النَّاسُ يُحِبُّونَهُ لأُمَّهَاتِهِمْ". قَالَ: "أَفَتُحِبُّهُ لابْنَتِكَ؟" قَالَ: لا. وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاءَكَ. قَالَ: "وَلا النَّاسُ يُحِبُّونَهُ لِبَنَاتِهِمْ". قَالَ: "أَفَتُحِبُّهُ لأُخْتِكَ؟" قَالَ: لا. وَاللهِ جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاءَكَ. قَالَ: "وَلا النَّاسُ يُحِبُّونَهُ لأَخَوَاتِهِمْ". قَالَ: "أَفَتُحِبُّهُ لِعَمَّتِكَ؟" قَالَ: لا. وَاللهِ جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاءَكَ. قَالَ: "وَلا النَّاسُ يُحِبُّونَهُ لِعَمَّاتِهِمْ". قَالَ: "أَفَتُحِبُّهُ لِخَالَتِكَ؟" قَالَ: لا. وَاللهِ جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاءَكَ. قَالَ: "وَلا النَّاسُ يُحِبُّونَهُ لِخَالاتِهِمْ". قَالَ: فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ, وَقَالَ: "اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ذَنْبَهُ وَطَهِّرْ قَلْبَهُ, وَحَصِّنْ فَرْجَهُ". قَالَ: فَلَمْ يَكُنْ بَعْدُ ذَلِكَ الْفَتَى يَلْتَفِتُ إلى شَيْءٍ[7].

Abu Umamah peace be upon him related that a young man came to the Prophet and said: O, Messenger of Allah permit me to make adultery, then the companions reproach him and they said: Stop saying, the Prophet said: come close, and man did, he said to him: set, did you like it for your mother? The man said: No, may Allah make me a ransom for you. Messenger of Allah said: Also people didn't like it for their mothers. He said: Did you like it for your daughter? He said: No. I swear by Allah who makes me a ransom for you. The Prophet said: Did you like it for your sister? The man said: No. I swear Allah who makes me a ransom for you. Then the Prophet said: People also didn't like it for their sisters. He said: Did you like it for your aunt? The man said: No. I swear by Allah who makes me a ransom for you. He said: People also didn't like it for their aunts. The man said: The Prophet put his hand upon my chest and invocated Allah saying: O, Allah forgives him and guides his heart and protects his private parts. The narrator said: None of us sew this man interested to do sinful acts after this. 

وفي صحيح مسلم عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: أُصِيبَ أَبِي يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَجَعَلْتُ أَكْشِفُ الثَّوْبَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَأَبْكِي, وَجَعَلُوا يَنْهَوْنَنِي وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ لا يَنْهَانِي. قَالَ: وَجَعَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ عَمْرٍو تَبْكِيهِ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ: "تَبْكِيهِ أَوْ لا تَبْكِيهِ مَا زَالَتْ الْمَلائِكَةُ تُظِلُّهُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى رَفَعْتُمُوهُ".

In Muslim's Sahih, Jaber ibn Abdullah said: My father injuried in the day of Uhud, I still unveil his face and cry. The companions again still prevented me to do this and the messenger of Allah didn't prevent me. Jaber said: Also Fatima bint Amr still crying for him. Then the messenger of Allah said: Even cry or not to cry, the angels still shadowed him with their wings till they raise him.

ومن تربيته للشباب ما كان من معاملته لزوجته الشابة أم المؤمنين عائشة رضي الله عنها, وتخفيفه عنها لما حضرتها الحيضة في الحج؛ فشق ذلك عليها, وتوهمت أنها ستحرم من الثواب, فذكر لها ما يطيب نفسها؛ ففي الحديث عن عائشة -رضي الله عنها- قالت: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ, وَلا نَرَى إِلا الْحَجَّ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِسَرِفَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْهَا حِضْتُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي فَقَالَ: "أَنَفِسْتِ" يَعْنِي: الْحَيْضَةَ. قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: "إِنَّ هَذَا شَيْءٌ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ، فَاقْضِي مَا يَقْضِي الْحَاجُّ غَيْرَ أَنْ لا تَطُوفِي بِالْبَيْتِ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلِي"[8].

About raising Youngs, his PBUH doing with his young wife Aisha, mother of the believers peace be upon her and staying with her to lighten her situation; in her menistrual period on Haj time; she felt hard and imagined she prevented the reward; he said good words to let peace intered her soul.

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said:

We proceeded with the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) with no other intention but that of performing the Hajj. As I was at Sarif or near it, I entered in the state of menses. The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) came to me and I was weeping, whereupon he said: Are you in a state of menses? I said. Yes. whereupon he said: This is what Allah has ordained for all the daughters, of Adam. Do whatever the pilgrim does. except that you should not circumambulate the House till you have washed yourself (at the end of the menses period). And the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) offered sacrifice of a cow on behalf of his wives.

وفي تقديره لحاجة الفتاة حديثة السن إلى الترفيه: فقد نقل عنه -عليه الصلاة والسلام- أنه كان يسابقها فتسبقه ويسبقها, ويقول لها: "هَذِهِ بِتِلْكَ السَّبْقَةِ"[9]. وتقول أم المؤمنين عائشة رضي الله عنها: "رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ, وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إلى الْحَبَشَةِ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ وَأَنَا جَارِيَةٌ؛ فَاقْدِرُوا قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْعَرِبَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ"[10].

The Prophet realizes young's need to fun. It was transmitted on behalf of him peace be upon him that he race with Aisha and she sometime wins and he wins in another time and he said to her: This turn is for that. Aisha, the mother of the believers peace be upon her said: I saw the messenger of Allah covers me with his garment when I looked to Abyssinians' playing when I still young. You must realize needs of the young aged.

وكان يعتني بالشباب ويسعى في معاونتهم وحل مشاكلهم وتزويج فقرائهم, وفي الحديث أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ انْطَلَقَ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى فَتَاهُ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ, فَدَخَلَ عَلَى زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ الأَسَدِيَّةِ فَخَطَبَهَا, فَقَالَتْ: لَسْتُ بِنَاكِحَتِهِ, فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ: "فَانْكِحِيهِ". فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أُؤَامِرُ فِي نَفْسِي. فَبَيْنَمَا هُمَا يَتَحَدَّثَانِ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ: {وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ} إلى قَوْلِهِ: {ضَلاَلاً مُبِينًا} [الأحزاب: 36]. قَالَتْ: قَدْ رَضِيتَهُ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مُنْكِحًا؟ قَالَ: "نَعَمْ". قَالَتْ: إِذَنْ لاَ أَعْصِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ, قَدْ أَنْكَحْتُهُ نَفْسِي[11].

The Prophet PBUH was caring and supporting poor young in marriages and was solving their problems. It was narrated that the messenger of Allah helps Zaid ibn Haritha to engage; he intered to Zainab bint Gahsh and said to her: Marry him, she said: I won't. The messenger of Allah said: Do it. Zainab said: Do I must agree upon; while they both talk together, Allah reveals this verse upon his messenger: "It is not for a believing man or a believing woman" til His saying: "clear error" (Al-Ahzab: 36). She said: Are you, messenger of Allah, satisfied him to me as a husband? He said: Yes. She then said: Then, I won't disobey. I will marry him. 

ومن هؤلاء جُليبيب -رضي الله عنه- الذي كان فقيرًا دميمًا لا يهتم أحد بشأنه فسعى -عليه الصلاة والسلام- في تزويجه؛ فعن أنس -رضي الله عنه- قال: "خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ عَلَى جُلَيْبِيبٍ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إلى أَبِيهَا, فَقَالَ: حَتَّى أَسْتَأْمِرَ أُمَّهَا. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ: "فَنَعَمْ إِذًا". قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقَ الرَّجُلُ إلى امْرَأَتِهِ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهَا, فَقَالَتْ: لاهَا اللهُ إِذًا, مَا وَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلا جُلَيْبِيبًا وَقَدْ مَنَعْنَاهَا مِنْ فُلانٍ وَفُلانٍ؟ قَالَ: وَالْجَارِيَةُ فِي سِتْرِهَا تَسْتَمِعُ. قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقَ الرَّجُلُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْبِرَ النَّبِيَّ بِذَلِكَ, فَقَالَتِ الْجَارِيَةُ: أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَرُدُّوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ أَمْرَهُ؟ إِنْ كَانَ قَدْ رَضِيَهُ لَكُمْ, فَأَنْكِحُوهُ"[12].

From the Prophets' compagnions was Julaibeeb peace be upon him. He was an ugly poor companion and no one took care about him. The Prophet encouraged him to marry, Anas peace be upon him said: The Prophet went to someone from Al-Ansar to betroth his daughter to Julaibeeb. His father went to talk to her mother. The Prophet said: Yes. Anas said: When he went to his wife and mentioned this to her, she said: Allah will be with my daughter; O wasn't there a man except Julaibeeb? We had refused to marry our daughter to so and so. Their daughter heard what her mother has said. Anas said: When his father wanted to say this to the Prophet; his daughter came and said to her parents: Did you want to refuse what the Prophet say? If the Prophet blessed Julaibeeb as a man to me to marry him; then I accept. 

ما أعظم تلك الشابة المؤمنة في ردها على أبويها, وتنبيهها لموطن الخير في هذا! وتم الزواج, ولم يلبث جليبيب أن استشهد فلم يفقده أحد إلا رسول الله ؛ ففي الحديث عن أبي برزة رضي الله عنه: أنَّ النَّبِيَّ كَانَ فِي مَغْزًى لَهُ فَأَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ: "هَلْ تَفْقِدُونَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ؟" قَالُوا: نَعَمْ, فُلانًا وَفُلانًا, وَفُلانًا. ثُمَّ قَالَ: "هَلْ تَفْقِدُونَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ؟" قَالُوا: نَعَمْ فُلانًا وَفُلانًا, وَفُلانًا. ثُمَّ قَالَ: "هَلْ تَفْقِدُونَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ؟" قَالُوا: لا. قَالَ: "لَكِنِّي أَفْقِدُ جُلَيْبِيبًا فَاطْلُبُوهُ". فَطُلِبَ فِي الْقَتْلَى فَوَجَدُوهُ إلى جَنْبِ سَبْعَةٍ قَدْ قَتَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ قَتَلُوهُ؛ فَأَتَى النَّبِيُّ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ, فَقَالَ: "قَتَلَ سَبْعَةً ثُمَّ قَتَلُوهُ، هَذَا مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ، هَذَا مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ". قَالَ: فَوَضَعَهُ عَلَى سَاعِدَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ إِلا سَاعِدَا النَّبِيِّ . قَالَ: فَحُفِرَ لَهُ وَوُضِعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ"[13].

How great was this young faithful lady answering her parents and she mentioned how blissful to follow the Prophet in his orders about Julaibeeb. She married Julaibeeb. Julaibeeb killed as a martyer. No one missed him after the battle except the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Abu Huraira related that the Prophet was in a battle and he won it and took spoil and said to his Companions: Are you missing anyone? They said: Yes, so and so. Then he said: Are you missing somebody else? They said: Yes, so and so. Then he said: Are you missing somebody else? They said: No. The Prophet said: I missed Julaibeeb, find him. They search for Julaibeeb and they found him among the dead and around him seven dead around him; he killed them then they killed him. The Prophet came standing at his body saying: He killed seven then they killed him. He is from me (from my family), he is from me. Abu Huraira said: The Prophet put him in his arms; nothing except the Prophet's arms carrying Julaibeeb till digging tomb, and then buried.  

وكان رسول الله يدافع عن اختياره للأكفاء من الشباب, للقيام بما يعرفه من قدراتهم من مهام, فاختياره لهم بُني على أساس كفاءتهم, وقدرتهم على إنجاز ما يطلب منهم حتى لو كانت أعمارهم أقل من غيرهم؛ ففي البخاري عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ -رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- قَالَ: أَمَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أُسَامَةَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ، فَطَعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: "إِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ فَقَدْ طَعَنْتُمْ فِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَانَ خَلِيقًا لِلإِمَارَةِ, وَإِنْ كَانَ أبوه لمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ بَعْدَه".

The Messenger of Allah was defending his choice from young to carry out missions by their abilities; so his choice was built upon their competence when he commanded them achieving deedseven though they are more younger than others. In Al-Bukhari, Ibn Umr peace be upon both –related by saying: The Messenger of Allah ordered Ussamah to lead people; they underestimated him. The Prophet said: If you underestimated him, you did that before about his father; I swear by Allah, he was (i.e. Zaid, father of Ussamah) the best of leaders and his father the beloved to me and he (i.e. Ussamah) is beloved of the people after his father.  

وفي معاملته لمن هم تحت يده من الخدم الشباب وغيرهم قدوة.. أيما قدوة! فيعرف حاجتهم للعب ويتجاوز عن بعض تقصيرهم؛ عن أنس بن مالك خادم رسول الله قال: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ النَّاسِ خُلُقًا, فَأَرْسَلَنِي يَوْمًا لِحَاجَةٍ, فَقُلْتُ: وَاللَّهِ لا أَذْهَبُ. وَفِي نَفْسِي أَنْ أَذْهَبَ لِمَا أَمَرَنِي بِهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ، فَخَرَجْتُ حَتَّى أَمُرَّ عَلَى صِبْيَانٍ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي السُّوقِ؛ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَدْ قَبَضَ بِقَفَايَ مِنْ وَرَائِي. قَالَ: فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَ: "يَا أُنَيْسُ، أَذَهَبْتَ حَيْثُ أَمَرْتُكَ؟" قَالَ: قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، أَنَا أَذْهَبُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ[14].

In his treatment (the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad) of those who are servants and others of young, under his hand, is a role model. What a role model was he! He saught their need for playing and he forgave their shortages. Anas ibn Malik, the servant of the Messenger of Allah, related saying: The Messenger of Allah is the best in his manners. He sent me once for something. I said: I wouldn't, but inside of myself I will do what he want from me; then I passed by boys who play in the market, the Messenger grasped my my back, I looked to him and he was laughing saying: Unais (little of "Anas": my name), are you go to where I ordered you? I said: I will, Messenger of Allah.  

وقال أيضًا: "خدمت رسول الله عشر سنين ما دريت شيئًا قط وافقه ولا شيئًا قط خالفه، رضي من الله بما كان، وإن كان بعض أزواجه ليقول: لو فعلت كذا وكذا، يقول: دعوه، فإنه لا يكون إلا ما أراد الله عز وجل. وما رأيت رسول الله انتقم لنفسه من شيء إلا أن انتهكت لله حرمة، فإن انتهكت لله حرمة كان أشد الناس غضبًا لله، وما عُرض عليه أمران إلا اختار أيسرهما ما لم يكن فيه سخط لله، فإن كان فيه لله سخط كان أبعد الناس منه"[15].

He also said: "I served the Messenger of Allah ten years, I didn't know whatsoever I did he agreed upon and whatever he didn't agreed upon. Satisfied by anything from Allah, even though, some of his wives may say: If you do this and that, he, peace be upon him, said: Leave him (me), nothing can take place without Allah's permission. And I never saw the Messenger of Allah took revenge himself except violation the sanctity of Allah took place. If any of Allah's violation took place, he was the angriest of people. If two things displayed to him, he chose the easiest of both in one condition, it was not the wrath of Allah. He is the most of abandoning Allah's wrath"

وعن مهاجر مولى أم سلمة قال: "خدمت رسول الله سنين فلم يقل لشيء صنعت لم صنعته, ولا لشيء تركته لم تركته"[16].

في مؤتة

فأمّر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مولاه زيد بن حارثة رضي الله عنه على ثلاثة آلاف وندب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الناس وقال: «إن أصيب زيد فجعفر بن أبي طالب على الناس، فإن أصيب جعفر فعبد الله بن رواحة على الناس، فإن أصيب فليرتض المسلمون رجلا من بينهم يجعلونه عليهم أميرا»، - أي قائدا للجيش -.

قال رسول الله يوصي الجيش: «أوصيكم بتقوى الله وبمن معكم من المسلمين خيرا، اغزوا باسم الله في سبيل الله من كفر بالله، لا تغدروا ولا تغلوا ولا تقتلوا وليدا ولا امرأة ولا كبيرا فانيا ولا منعزلا بصومعة ولا تقربوا نخلا ولا تقطعوا شجرا ولا تهدموا بناءً».

كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم إذا بعث أميرا على جيش أوصاه في خاصة نفسه بتقوى الله ومن معه من المسملين خيرا فقال اغزوا بسم الله وفي سبيل الله . قاتلوا من كفر بالله ؛ اغزوا ولا تغلوا ولا تغدروا ولا تمثلوا ولا تقتلوا وليدا

The Messenger of Allah advised the army saying: "I command you to be pious and to do good to Muslims. Fight seeking Allah's way, no treachery, no transgression, not to kill infants; a woman; an old; a worshiper in a synagogue, not to touch a palm tree, not to cut a tree, not to erase a building".

مواساة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لآل جعفر[عدل]

عن أسماء بنت عميس رضي الله عنها زوج جعفر بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه، قالت: دخل عليَّ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم أصيب جعفر وأصحابه فقال: «ائتني ببني جعفر» فأتيته بهم فشمهم وذرفت عيناه، وفي رواية: وبكى حتى نقطت لحيته الشريفة فقلت: يا رسول الله بأبي وأمي ما يبكيك؟ أبلغك عن جعفر وأصحابه شيء؟ قال: نعم أصيبوا هذا اليوم، قالت: فقمت أصيح واجتمع عليّ النساء وجعل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول لي: «يا أسماء لا تقولي هُجْرا ولا تضربي خدا»، وقال: «اللهم قدمه إلى أحسن الثواب واخلفه في ذريته بأحسن ما خلفت أحدا من عبادك في ذريته».

Asmaa'a bint Umeis peace be upon her, the wife of Ja'afar ibn Abi Talib peace be upon him said: " The Messenger of Allah entered at the day of Ja'afar's killing and his companions saying: Bring sons of Ja'afar to me. I brought them and he smelled them, shedding tears from his eyes. In another narration: And wept until his noble beard dotted. I said to him: By my father and my mother redeem you, what makes you cry? Any news about Ja'afar and his companions? He said: they killed today. Asmaa'a said: I rose crying till women gathered. The Messenger of Allah keep saying to me: Do not say something bad or beat your cheeks and he said: O Allah bring him the best of reward and give his sons of someone, the best of men to bring them up after his father's killing. 

وخرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى أهله فقال: «لا تغفلوا عن آل جعفر أن تصنعوا لهم طعاما فإنهم قد شغلوا بأمر صاحبهم»،

The Messenger of Allah came to his wives saying: Don't neglect sons of Ja'afar to bring them to eat. They are busy of what happened to Ja'afar.

وقيل: إنه دخل على فاطمة وهي تقول: واعماه، فقال: «على مثل جعفر فلتبك البواكي»، ثم قال صلى الله عليه وسلم «اصنعوا لآل جعفر طعاما فقد شغلوا عن أنفسهم اليوم»، وهذا الطعام الذي جعل لآل جعفر رضي الله عنه هو أصل طعام التعزية وتسميه العرب «الوضيمة».

(حديث موقوف) أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الصَّيْدَلانِيُّ ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ أَحْمَدَ الْحَدَّادَ أَخْبَرَهُمْ وَهُوَ حَاضِرٌ ، أَنْبَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، ثنا أَبُو بَحْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ كَوْثَرٍ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَى ابْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ " السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ ذِي الْجَنَاحَيْنِ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ بْنِ هَارُونَ .

Abdullah ibn Umar used to salute son of Ja'afar saying: Peace be upon you son of man of two wings. (The Messenger of Allah sends glad tidings upon Ja'afar when he said that Allah replaces Ja'afar's arms lost in the battle by two wings. He flys with in Paradise as a gift from Allah to Ja'afar of loosing his arms in the Battle of Mo'ta.

وكذلك كان زيد يحب رسول الله  صلى الله عليه وسلم حباً كبيراً وجاء والده وعمه إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يعرضان عليه افتداء زيد بالمال, فقال لهما  صلى الله عليه وسلم:((ادعوه فخيراه فإن اختاركما فهو لكما بغير فداء وإن اختارني فو الله ما أنا بالذي أختار على من اختارني)) وقال زيد:((والله يا رسول الله أنت مني بمنزلة الأب والعم وما أختار عليك أحداً قط)) فقال له والده:((أتختار العبودية على الحرية وعلى أبيك وعمك يا زيد؟)) وهنا قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:((اشهدوا أيها الجمع أن زيداً ابني يرثني وأرثه)

Zaid loved the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him so much. Once his father and uncle came to the Messenger of Allah displaying ransom for freeing Zaid from slavey (Zaid was kidnapped and sold as a slave to Hakim ibn Hizam who is a relative of the wife of the Messenger peace be upon him, Khadijah who gave Zaid to the Messenger to serve him, knowing nothing about his kidnapping, and when his father and uncle knew that Zaid in Macca, they came to free him) The Messenger of Allah said to them to call Zaid and let him chose to go with them or to still with the Messenger. If Zaid chose to go with them, the Messenger of Allah will let him go, but if Zaid chose to be with the Messenger of Allah, the Messenger won't let him go with them (as Zaid chose). Zaid replied that he wants to still be with the Messenger of Allah and said that the Messenger of Allah is in the lofty position like his father and uncle and refused to go with them. His father said to him: Did you choose slavery over freedom and over your father and uncle? Then the Messenger peace be upon him said: O gathering, witness that Zaid be my son inherits from me and I inherit from him. This occasion was before prohibition of Adoption and before Muhammad peace be upon him being a Messenger of Allah.
